Hi, I m 2012 BMS graduate currently working in Fitnessfirst India Pvt Ltd – my strength is my time management skills – I’m organized, efficient, and excelling at my work. I pride myself on my customer service skills and my ability to resolve the difficult situations. My ambition is to become a well known name in fitness and business industry. In life I give first priority to my family as they mean everything to me they also keep me inspiring and motivating in difficult situations. I like Gyming, Martial art, Boxing and prefer to watch action movies Tony Jaa, Bruce Lee, Jean Claude Van Damme they are my favorite action stars
Describe your BMS College and what is the 1 thing you would like to change in your college?
For the 1st year I was in the MPSPS college then in 2nd year I moved to Chetana college both the college located in Bandra infrastructure and faculty wise both are good the reason I moved to Chetana because it’s a well known name in management studies which has given me the opportunity to explore myself and learn which helped me a lot as I was the member of event organization, placement, marketing, sponsorship cell of the college. I have learned lots of things which not only benefited me academically but also in finding out a job after graduation. My faculty motivated and inspired me throughout my BMS journey. I would like to appreciate Shivprasad Murgun (Chief Co-ordinator), Kedar Paranjpe (Co-ordinator)
In both the colleges I had common hangout places as they were located in same area. We used to have lots of event in my college like Chakraview, Shikhar etc and it was fun to be a part of it. The one thing I like to change in my college is timing as I used to have lectures from 8 am to 5pm which was quite boring.
Share your most memorable moments at BMS College
My whole BMS journey was the most memorable for me from day one to last day and I enjoyed it a lot. My favourite lecture was IMTP by Sir Hemant Kombrabail. It used to give me a feel like that I am not in a college lecture but in a Baba’s Satsang and the most embarrassing moment was that for the first time I organised a Treasure Hunt event in college and there was only one entry for it.
Where have you worked in the past and what & where are you currently working or doing?
Currently I am working in Fitnessfirst India Pvt Ltd. It’s world’s No-1 fitness club and my designation is Customer Service Officer/Shift Manager. I joined my job after 1 month of completing my graduation. It’s one of the best places to work. It’s located in Oshiwara. Our major client is from lokhandwala – the successful people in their particular field like actor, director, choreographer, businessmen, singer, sports person etc. My interaction with these people helps me to enhance my knowledge and main reason I am in Fitnessfirst is my passion towards fitness and recently I also started working in project. Its name is Fitnessyatra – Asia’s first online fitness portal which intended to give up-to-date information about health, fitness, yoga, training and nutrition and I am appointed as an athlete in this project and looking forward successful area in this field
What advice/tips do you have for BMS undergraduates and graduates?
Studying BMS will provide you a overall knowledge of every field so I suggest you guys to start observing yourself from day one then you will come to know that you are good in which field and after your graduation you can peek the one as your career. “Don’t follow in someone else’s footsteps; use them as your inspiration to create your own path.” And keep on implementing the things which you learn in BMS into your day to day life which helps you to become a successful manger.
Wish you all best of luck for your future 🙂
