Business is a part of the ecological system. Elaborate

i)    An  ecological  system  is  an  interrelated  &  interdependent  set  of  organisms  & environments.

ii)  The corporate world, the industry or others engaged in the use of natural resources or environment services are closely linked with environment and natural resources.

iii) Business firms depends on natural environment for their energy, material resources and waste disposal and that environment in turn is affected by the commercial activities of business firms.

iv)  So all business firm must ensure that their activities do not injure the ecological ethical system. This resolve is called ecological ethics.

v)   It is based on the idea that the environment should be protected not only for the sake of human beings but for its own sake.

vi)  Hence, as ecological systems are interrelated & affected by business; business forms an important part of it.
