Students shall showcase their intellect, for them to reach the best of the higher educations across the country. A lot of slogging, one has to go through, before the day of exam appears. For some it becomes a mere cinch as they’ve had slogged back in their higher secondary years, hence a stronger base leading to a greater percentile. For some, it becomes terribly difficult for being around average through the previous academic years. Eligibility is what everyone targets at. Bull’s eye and the your rest of your life will be spent in the house and on the wheels of gold and if not, you need to figure out something or just put in all stakes and give it again. Its India’s one of the most popular and difficult competitive exams. It pertains to the mighty management. The ironically famous Common Admission Test (CAT) has very massive in it for only a few of us. Its through which other competitive exams like CMAT, MAT and ATMA becomes easy. Its through which exam of TISS, knowingly or unknowingly, appears to be simpler for a contemplator. Its through which the IIMs decide whether they can bestow their tag upon you or to just toss you like a petty piece of crumpled paper.

Results of CAT 2014, India’s one of the most difficult and important competitive management entrance exams were declared on 27th December, 2014; held on 16th and 22nd November. It brought a lot of inspirations for the aspiring students that includes both takers of 16-iimsCAT ’14 with an unremarkable and unfortunate score, and non-takers working hard for CAT 2015, though lesser number of candidates appeared for this year, being 1.68 lakh as compared to 1.97 lakh students in the last year’s exam. 16 of  1.68 lakh CAT takers scored a 100 percentile, which is double as compared to 8 of th 1.97 lakh CAT takers of the last year. 10 candidates have scored 99.99 percentile, which is the same number as in CAT 2013. 6 new IIMs as per the Union Budget 2014 have come up this year along with a total of 800 admission seats in total. The new IIMs will be calling a sum of 10,000 shortlisted students for further stages to final selection. Overall 19 IIMs in total will select approximately 4,000 students for the PGDM course 2014-16. The time limit for candidates to finish CAT was increased from 140 minutes last year to 170 minutes this year. Questions in quantitative ability and data interpretation sections, verbal ability and logical reasoning sections — were increased to 50 each section from the previous 30. An added feature was that the candidates could jump from one section to another while giving the exam.

May this information helps.

All the best to all those giving the CAT 2015.

An accidental science student but a self-acclaimed business and management geek. A man in the middle of his ladder. From my perspective, it simply means I am an undergraduate close enough to complete my graduation (BMS), with a little experience in business. Why BMS.co.in? Two reasons: 1. An emerging interest in writing brought me here, 2. What could be better than contributing to my own community first? Listening to music while travelling is awesome. Writing rhymes is another pastime. A strategy games lover, especially Defense of the Ancients and Age of Empires. Fitness is a must.
