Yogurt hair mask for damaged hair:
If your hair feels dull and drained of all its shine, this easy yogurt hair mask promises to restore its healthy appearance, one week at a time. Don’t be surprised to notice a remarkable difference after the very first rinse:
1 cup of yogurt, 2 tbs honey, 4 tbs olive oil a couple of vitamin E gel capsules
How to use: Mix all the ingredients together and apply the mask onto your hair. To get the best of the moisturizing effect, put the hair up in a shower cap for 30 minutes, wash out and then rinse repeatedly.
Homemade protein hair mask for hair growth:
You must already know that the best hair products are the ones that help maintain your hair’s healthy balance of moisture and protein. Seeing how you won’t find many of those on the market, you can easily promote new hair growth and prevent breakage using this homemade protein hair mask instead:
1 egg, few drops of essential oil, 5 ml of lemon juice (a squeeze of lemon)
How to use: Crack the egg and pour it into a bowl, making sure to beat it until it gains a thin, liquid form. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oils and a squeeze of lemon juice. Lemon juice will help clear dandruff and refresh your scalp. Mix all the ingredients together. Apply the resulting mask generously to your hair, but remember to massage it into your scalp. Leave the mask to sink in for about 15 – 20 minutes. Do not exceed the maximum of 20 minutes if you don’t want your hair to dry out. Rinse the mask out with cool or warm water, but never cold water.
Hydrating hair mask for dry hair:
Dry hair doesn’t feel or look good, but if you’re currently experiencing this problem, you won’t have to put up with it for much longer. The remedy is an easy homemade hydrating mask that promises to work thanks to the healthy fat and natural oils contained by avocados, mixed with the load of vitamins, potassium, antioxidants and moisture from bananas.
1/2 ripe avocado, 2 ripe bananas
How to use: Puree the two ingredients in a food processor until they turn into a thick and lump free paste. Make sure the hair mask is very smooth, with no chunks whatsoever to avoid having to comb out dry banana/avocado bits from your hair later. As per usual, using clean fingers, apply the mixture to your damp hair, starting at the roots and going all the way down to the ends. Cover your hair with a plastic shower cap. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse your hair thoroughly. Take your time rinsing to ensure the whole mask comes off.
Avocado, coconut milk & olive oil hair mask for frizzy hair:
You also add avocado which is great for shiny lustrous locks, but when combined with the moisture-rich ingredients from coconut milk and olive oil it will help you to battle off the bad hair days.
