  • Tell me about yourself

My name is Anuja. I am pursuing my BMS degree. I have completed my HSC from commerce background. My hobbies are painting, solving case studies. I also like to give presentations.

  • Were you expecting to top in the examinations? To whom would you credit this success to?

I was expecting to be in top five. But since I am a topper in all semesters, I was glad to be a topper. I would like to credit this success to firstly my parents & my teachers. Because without them it was not possible for me to achieve these flying colours. It was their care, guidance & blessings which led me to success.

  • Did you prepare religiously from day one or a few weeks before the exams?

No, I was not religiously preparing from day one as all of us do. All my starting days went in completing my assignments, projects etc. Almost a month ago I started reading the subjects & tried my best to understand them instead of mugging them. Then with the help of my notes I made my study easy by removing the bullet points and tried to remember those bullet points.

  • How did you allot time to different subjects?

Yes of course I made a time table for my study. I planned it such as; in 7 day week I gave two days for each subject & as such completed 3-4 subjects. Daily I studied for 5-6 hours only because I used to believe that studying for more than that was just mugging up.

  • Can you share some insights on how to crack the subjects before exams?

The ease of subjects depends on your understanding on how well you understand the subjects. My favourite subject was HR & I was more interested in solving the HR related case studies.

Special way of writing the answers is just that, write related to the question & do give a introduction of the question.

  • Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self study enough?

As per my views, BMS students don’t require any coaching classes because all the subjects of BMS are practical oriented and if try & understand them they are no harder to you. Only if in case of finance you can prefer classes if you are weak. I had no coaching classes. I cracked my exams with the help of my faculties.

  • Did you participate in college fests? Do you think BMS student can manage both studies & extra activities?

I had participated in my college fests and also won some of the prizes. I think BMS student can manage both the things quite easily. As BREAK to zaruri hai yaar.

  • Did you pursue any additional courses/internships alongside BMS?

Yes , I have completed MS-CIT course. Had done a internship of 2 months in the EXCEL LTD. which is a MNC  in Lote which was quite a good experience.

  • Today we often come across the students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?

I think failure is the first step of success. And in the BMS degree there is nothing so hard so all students must try to meditate, exercise in order to remove the stress.

  • Do you think the number of industrial visits should be increased? Which industries have you visited?

Yes the number of Industrial visits should be increased as when we go in an industry we go through the entire practical workings of the company. I have visited the sugar factory.

  • Do you think BMS students are flooded with assignments, projects & internal exams round the clock? What change would you like to bring in the BMS curriculum?

I do not think that the students are flooded with the assignments because all those assignment questions are exam oriented. So it becomes beneficial to the students.

  • What message would you like to give to the next batch of BMS students?

Not any special, but I would like to say that there must be more practical/case studies for marketing students so that only learning the subjects will not do trying them practically is also important

  • What are the future plans post BMS?

My plans after BMS are to get higher studies or job.

  • Any feedback suggestion for BMS.CO.IN?

This website is excellent as it proves much more beneficial for the management students.
