An Interview with Dhvani Rathod, TYBMS Sem 5 Topper, D.G. Ruparel College (83%)
I’m a nature loving person. My hobbies include reading and listening to music. I have always believed in putting best efforts and not to expect or worry about the result. I would credit this success to my parents and kid sister for their love and support. Also, to all my professors for their guidance and encouragement. I didn’t start preparing religiously since day one. However, the internal examination in my college was held in such a manner that I was in touch with all the concepts of every subject which proved fruitful. I followed a self made time table. While deciding the study schedule, I saw to it that every subject was justified. And also I made time to pursue my hobbies. According to me, I think it one’s choice and preference to join coaching classes. I did join coaching class for additional practice and paper solving. I did participate in the extra-curricular activities. I was the joint secretary in the BMS festival “Aarambh”. It helped in honing my leadership skills as well as communication skills. I do think a BMS student can manage both studies and extra activities. This is because management studies deals with managing various aspects and participating in extra activities provides a firsthand experience of application of the knowledge gained. I’m planning for an MBA in finance. I feel sorry for students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. It is disheartening to see that the definition of success is so narrow and limited to marks that students are taking such a drastic step. It is important to realize that success is not only about scoring marks. Rather, success means putting the best efforts with the available resources. Success is not a destination, but a journey. BMS is not only about the book knowledge but also learning and understanding the application of the same. So get your basics clear. BMS.co.in is doing a fantastic job by connecting all the BMS students and providing the various resources needed during the course. Keep up the good work!
