1)     Tell us about yourself, your background, why did you join BMS and what do you plan to do after BMS?

I am a very determined person, I work for things I wish to achieve in my life.. I took up BMS because it’s subjects drew my interest.. After BMS, I am planning to do MBA.

2)    How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in Semester exams?

It’s a prestigious word.. “TOPPER”.. So of course I feel extremely honoured to be called the topper of the Semester.

3)     Whom will you credit your success to?

One sole reason behind me being in this respected college and consistently scoring well is my mumma.. She has supported me in all possible ways and guided me through all the obstacles in my life to reach over here…

4)     Did you start preparing from the first day of your FY / SYBMS?

I haven’t ever been that “nerd” kind of a student… Like everyone else I enjoy my college life.. Bunk lectures.. Hang out with friends.. But I stayed focus.. I knew what I needed to achieve and I achieved it.

5)      How did you study for Sem I / Sem III?

Whichever lectures I attended…I gave proper attention to what’s going on in it. So that gave me a brief idea about the subject and made my studies easier. That’s a tip I would like to share.. Always concentrate in class..

6)      Which are the easy subjects in Sem I / Sem III?

I am a commerce student. And I had also taken maths in my junior college. So the easiest subjects were financial accounting and business statistics.

7) Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?

I’ve always written my answers in bullet points. I have this thinking that if I help the supervisor easily correct the paper they will help me out by avoiding my silly mistakes.

8)      How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?

I wasn’t able to crack case studies well that’s why I didn’t score much in principles of management and foundation of human skills.

9)  Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?

Drawing diagrams is not necessary. But if possible we should always draw a diagram.. The supervisor gets it that we do know the answer well.

10)  Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?

I haven’t ever followed any time table ever… Nor was I regular with my studies. But I made sure that whenever I studied. I studied with all my heart.

11)   How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?

During exam preparations my mumma makes sure that I do not have any distractions. At times she stays up late at night with me so that I get accompanied while studying.

12)   If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in BMS education system?

Our Mumbai University has smarter people than me. So I wouldn’t insult them by tampering with their rules and regulations.

13)   Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?

We have the biggest idol in India. Our Ex-President of India.. Dr. Abdul Kalam, he wasn’t from a big school or a university. He couldn’t afford education. But here we see. He is a nuclear scientist and he has written the visionary book “India in 2020”.

14)   Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition? What is your message to the upcoming BMS students?

My message for the upcoming BMS students: BMS is not about the IV trip we are taking to every year. It’s a professional course. It teaches us how to manage our life. Manage our priorities.
