 success quote

Tell us about yourself, your background, why did you join BMS and what do you plan to do after BMS?

Well I belong to an upper middle class family and I am Guajarati and to say about joining this course is like a long story but it was my mom who told me to do this course as she didn’t wanted me to do a plain B.com course.

How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in Semester exams?

It’s just great to be the topper of the class as all the classmate set you as their benchmark which actually makes us proud and motivate us to do even well in next term.

Whom will you credit your success to?

To give credit of my success or in better words my thanks would be my professors and my mom as professors are one who had always guided me and mom is the one who motivated me to join this course.

Did you start preparing from the first day of your FY / SY?

Well frankly speaking I never started from the first day in fact I always study just one day before my exams I know that you people would be thinking that how can one score a rank by just studying one day before the exams then my answer to you would be you need to be attentive in class when your professors are teaching you and then you can remember everything.

How did you study for Sem I / Sem III?

Everyone has different way to study I could share my way all I do is just remember the black points of all the answers and the inside matter can be in your own language.

Which are the easy subjects in Sem I / Sem III?

What I feel is no subjects are hard or difficult it’s our perception that makes it difficult so we should change our perception towards difficult subject which will help us find that subject easier. To be specific I like accounting kind of subjects.

Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?

I write answers in a bullet point pattern along with the introduction to a particular answer and if necessary a diagram which makes your answer sheet more effective. We should avoid writing answers in paragraphs as they look boring it is like someone writing long stories.

How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?

There is no specific way to crack case studies, all I do is just put my brain to solve the case study and sometimes my opinion.

Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?

Yes I do draw diagrams in paper it is not mandatory but it makes the answer more presentable and can be easily understood by the moderator what is written in the answer.

Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?

No specific study pattern is been followed by me as I said above I study one day prior to exams but yes on that day I study the most important topics first and then all other topics.

How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?

What I do is play candy crush and when I finish all the life’s then I start studying till the time I  get all 5 life in that period I try to finish off with 1 chapter. This keeps my mood fresh and I can concentrate on studies.

If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in Indian education system?

To initiate change I would implement more of piratical things then only theories which are boring.

Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?

All you need to do is feel confident about yourself so what if you are not know English you can yet prove yourself good in some other field because all people have something unique in themselves you need to identify that strength in which no one can go beyond you.

Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition? What is your message to the upcoming BMS students?

I have learned that the wisdom of life lies in education once you are educated you can achieve anything in life.
