First year engineering UPTU 2013-14 Results withheld?

UP Technical University has withheld the results of more than a lakh first year engineering exams held in December 2013. As per University officials, evaluation of first year answer sheets and preparation of results are completed almost a month ago. But due to some mistake committed by 13,500 students enrolled with Mahamaya Technical University (now merged into UPTU) who took direct admission to various colleges in 2013-14. As per sources, document verification of 7000 such students are remaining and UPTU directors are supposed to submit an affidavit mentioning that credentials of all students are true otherwise the chairperson will be held responsible. UPTU results are expected in few weeks.
